Job Title: Home Health Personal Care Aide - PCA

Location: Dugspur, VA (In-Home Patient Care)

Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN (Flexible Scheduling Available)

Pay: Competitive Pay (based on experience)

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Personal Care Aides - PCA to provide one-on-one support and care for clients in a home setting throughout Dugspur and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy helping others maintain independence, comfort, and safety within their home environment while having flexibility and control over their schedule.

As a Home Health Personal Care Aide - PCA, you will assist clients with activities of daily living while providing companionship, emotional support, and personalized care.

Responsibilities of Home Health Personal Care Aide - PCA:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting
  • Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
  • Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
  • Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members

Qualifications of Home Health Personal Care Aide - PCA:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in the state of Virginia required
  • Six (6) months of healthcare experience preferred
  • CPR certification and TB baseline screening required
  • Valid Virginia driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
