Job Summary

Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Community Clinic Primary & Urgent Care in Fayetteville, AR. The Medical Assistant assists in patient care under the direction of the clinicians and Clinic Nurses, assisting in providing excellent primary health care to our patients. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
  • Able and willing to cover lab tech responsibilities as directed.
  • Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
  • Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
  • Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
  • Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
  • Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.

  • Proficient spelling necessary.
  • Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
  • Proficient knowledge in computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.
  • Able to perform proficiently on current practice management system and/or electronic medical records.


Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or equivalent experience required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) of clinical experience preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) of medication administration experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
