Position – CNA Med Tech
Location: Ingleside Communities – Mount Horeb, WI (on-site position)
Status: Full-Time | Part-Time | PRN

Job Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse, the Medication Assistant is responsible for administering and accurately documenting selected scheduled medications, including oral, nasal, transdermal, rectal, inhalant, and ophthalmic medications, to residents. The Medication Assistant is trained to measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, radial pulse, and blood glucose levels via finger stick.

  • CNA Med Tech base hourly wage: $23.00 - $26.68 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and document approved medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and permitted under Wisconsin law
  • Observe residents for medication effects, side effects, and adverse reactions and promptly report concerns to licensed nursing staff
  • Measure and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and blood glucose levels via finger stick
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with facility policy and state regulations
  • Follow all medication administration procedures, including the “Five Rights” of medication administration
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication and treatment area
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and Wisconsin Department of Health Services regulations
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide assistance with resident care needs as assigned, within the scope of certification and training.

Qualifications:
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Wisconsin
  • Completion of a Wisconsin-approved Medication Aide/Medication Assistant training program
  • Demonstrated competency in medication administration and related tasks as required by Wisconsin regulations
  • Ability to perform blood glucose testing via finger stick
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to resident safety
  • Must meet all health, background check, and training requirements as required by Wisconsin law
