Position Overview for Certified Medication Aide (CMA):
We are currently seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support our residents in the Assisted Living Program. In this vital role, you will assist our residents with their daily activities, empowering them to live fulfilling lives while upholding their dignity and individuality. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will report directly to the Director of Resident Care and play a key part in our mission to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Your skills and kindness will make a meaningful impact on those we serve, fostering an environment of respect and warmth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Management: Accurately and safely prepare, assist, and document medication administration for residents under a physician's order, ensuring compliance with our community's policies.
  • Resident Support: Assist residents with their daily activities, including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and more, always following their personalized service plans.
  • Vital Monitoring: Measure, record, and report vital signs to ensure residents' health and safety.
  • Communication & Documentation: Clearly inform the Director of Resident Care (DRC) of any medication errors or reactions and maintain accurate records for all medications.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Familiarize yourself with emergency equipment and procedures to prioritize resident safety.

What We're Looking For:
  • A high school diploma or GED, with related experience or training preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medication Aide in good standing, having completed the required state course.
  • Experience in an Assisted Living setting
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong active listening and critical thinking abilities to address resident needs effectively.
