Job description

Job Description:

Educates prospective members on SelectHealth Medicare products and services. Conducts service and sales in full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Enrolls customers who are eligible in the SelectHealth Medicare Advantage plan.

Two years of customer service related experience, as well as two years of insurance related experience is preferred.

If they do not already have a health insurance license, it would need to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Candidates who are Bilingual are preferred

Essential Job Duties

1. Primary point of contact representing Select Health Medicare Advantage products.

2. Answers calls from Medicare sales phone lines and Medicare Agent overflow calls.

3. Responds to website inquiries as needed.

4. Sends out Medicare Advantage sales materials / kits.

5. Conducts Medicare benefits education and sales related activities from inbound call inquiries regarding Select Health Medicare Advantage products. This includes activities such as: responding to inquiries, generating appointments, following up on leads, referrals, and re-marketing opportunities. 6. Stays current on general plan design and modifications to provide accurate and appropriate information.

7. Documents and tracks all sales calls in the CRM system.

8. Educates callers on correct use of their plans, including coverage of benefits, utilization, and administrative guidelines, in collaboration with teammates and other departments.

9. Facilitates the prompt resolution of benefits and enrollment questions of potential Medicare Advantage enrollees on the initial call or provides timely follow-up when additional research is required.

10. Maintains the confidentiality of member's personal information to be compliant with internal confidentiality policy. Maintains customer history in member tracking system using correct codes and detailed comments.

11. Makes outreach welcome and retention calls to existing members ensuring they received information, understand all benefits, have an assigned a primary care provider.

12. Completes an optional supplemental benefit (Dental and vision) enrollment for existing members.

13. Provides support to customer service on member outreach projects.

14. Follows up on call satisfaction surveys as needed.

15. Conducts all activities in full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • Two years working in insurance industry in similar role
  • Medicare insurance and regulatory knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer skills including experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Must obtain a resident health and life license within 6 months of hire date and non resident licenses in Utah, Idaho and Nevada, additional as needed.
