Job Description
  • Performs collections and assist with duties including but not limited to: questions, escalations etc
  • Must have strong knowledge of commercial insurances and medicare collections.
Qualifications

1. A minimum of three years in position within the Medical Collections department of a medical facility, handling MEDICARE collections for at least two years. Must also have knowledge of various commercial insurances.  Not collecting Copays.


2. Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, as well as proprietary systems expertise.


A minimum of one year in position within the Collections department with the following proven and consistent results:

a.       Excellent attendance record.


b.      Excellent quantative and qualitative results.


Existing peer recognition as a "go-to" team member.

Demonstrates support and knowledge of all Hoveround policies and procedures.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

a.       An Associates degree or higher in an applicable discipline would differentiate the candidate from others.


Prior collections leadership (Supervisor/Senior/Lead) experiences a plus.

Prior medical experience a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Strong motivation and initiative.

Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, as well as proprietary systems expertise.


Additional Information

Hours for this Position:

  • M-F 8-5 with Overtime if needed (sometimes work a Saturday, however it's rare...maybe once a month or every other)
