Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver
Reports To
Transportation Supervisor
Position Summary
D-POM, LLC is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, treatment centers, adult day programs, community-based services, and other approved destinations. The NEMT Driver plays a vital role in ensuring clients receive timely and dependable transportation while maintaining the highest standards of safety, customer service, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely transport clients to and from scheduled destinations.
  • Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles.
  • Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using approved procedures.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain transportation logs, trip sheets, and mileage records.
  • Provide respectful and professional customer service.
  • Comply with HIPAA, company policies, and transportation regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record.
  • Minimum age 21.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles (when applicable).

Physical Requirements
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with mobility needs.
  • Work in varying weather conditions.
