Sapphire Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated Med Tech to join our team and uphold our commitment to excellence.

A Medical Technician (Med Tech) will play an essential role in delivering compassionate care to residents within a community-based care setting. This position involves providing direct care, administering medications, monitoring patient health, and supporting overall wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to high-quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Fosters a supportive, compassionate environment for our residents and their families
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures and maintaining accurate medication records.
  • Report changes in residents' conditions to appropriate team members.
  • Assistance with Daily Living: Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare professionals to create and maintain individual care plans for each resident.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all care, medications, and any observed changes in residents' conditions in accordance with company policies.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly and calmly in emergencies, following established protocols to ensure resident safety.
  • Family Communication: Communicate with residents' families regarding health status, medication changes, and overall care updates, fostering trust and transparency.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies regarding healthcare and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care or community based care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents as needed, as well as stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
