Job description

Odyssey is looking for a Supply Technician to support the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.  The 711 HPW is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education and consultation under a single organization. Established under the Air Force Research Laboratory, the 711 HPW is comprised of the Airman Systems Directorate (RH), the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) and the Human Systems Integration Directorate (HP).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform supply technician activities including: receiving, delivering and disposition of supplies, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, verification of materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment and/or disposition.
  • Perform verification of delivery, receipt, storage, and issue of incoming supplies.
  • Apply special handling procedures for the following: controlled medical items, gases, precious metals, dangerous and hazardous material, and refrigerated and frozen materials.
  • Transport supplies and equipment between medical logistics and base support activities and customers.
  • Maintain thorough housekeeping standards by cleaning the hi-bay and equipment room and sweeping/mopping the warehouse on a regular basis. The contractor shall also be responsible for recycling the cardboard by placing it in the appropriate dumpster.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.

ClearanceAbility to obtain NACI.

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent.

Years of Experience:  Six months' experience is required in a supply or warehouse setting. Medical supply is ideal.

Other experience requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the USAF governing supply systems to include; Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and AFOSH ground safety standards.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform regular physical work required for handling and moving medical supplies and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Active NACI.

Education:  Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business.

Years of experience:   Experience in the logistics section within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF), and/or prior military experience as a logistician (4A1) with exposure to logistics, supply and/or medical units.
