Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Capacity Management

  • Develop and maintain rolling supply plans that support the monthly IBP/SIOP process and planning horizon.

  • Translate demand forecasts into feasible, capacity-constrained supply plans across a network of contract manufacturing partners.

  • Lead rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) activities to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.

  • Evaluate inventory, capacity, and service tradeoffs to support business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Monitor supply-demand imbalances and develop recommendations to address potential shortfalls or excess capacity.

  • Support annual operating plans, budget cycles, and long-range planning activities.

Scenario Planning & Business Insights

  • Perform scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support strategic business decisions, product launches, demand fluctuations, and supply disruptions.

  • Identify emerging supply risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.

  • Develop insights and recommendations related to inventory, capacity, service levels, and supply chain resilience.

  • Prepare materials and analyses for Supply Review and Executive IBP/SIOP meetings.

Planning Systems & Analytics

  • Utilize SAP planning tools to develop supply plans, analyze requirements, and maintain planning data.

  • Create and maintain advanced Excel-based planning models, reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.

  • Ensure planning assumptions, master data, and reporting structures remain accurate and aligned with business requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, data quality, and reporting capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

The Supply Planner serves as a critical link between Commercial, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Quality, and external manufacturing partners, driving alignment through the Integrated Business Planning process.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Partner with Procurement to evaluate supplier constraints, material availability, and sourcing risks that may impact supply plans.

  • Incorporate material availability assumptions into supply planning and capacity assessments.

  • Support supplier and contract manufacturer performance reviews through planning insights and analytics.

Finance

  • Collaborate with Finance to align supply plans with financial objectives, inventory targets, and annual operating plans.

  • Provide supply planning assumptions and scenario analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
