Job Summary

As a Medical Courier Driver at Aculabs, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of laboratory specimens—including blood, urine, stool, and other samples—from assigned locations such as care facilities, field offices, or employees. Ensuring specimen integrity through proper handling and adherence to transport protocols is essential.

Family-owned and operated since 1972, Aculabs takes pride in delivering high-quality diagnostic services with a commitment to excellence. Ideal candidates are self-motivated professionals who take pride in supporting healthcare operations through timely and accurate specimen transport.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Weekend Rotation as needed

Responsibilities

  • Picks up blood and other specimens in designated facilities and delivers them to the respective location
  • Arrives at the facility at the designated time(s)
  • Safely and efficiently transport laboratory specimens to designated locations ensuring the specimens remain secure and undamaged during transit.
  • Transfers the bags from the refrigerator at the ECF to a cooler and delivers it to the laboratory as quickly as possible
  • Strictly adhere to all driving laws, traffic regulations, and safety protocols while operating company vehicles.
  • Informs accessioning personnel when blood has been delivered.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Must be an insured driver
