Cargo Van Driver - Medical Courier

Accurate Courier Services

Kansas City, MO

$150 - $250/day

Contractor

Re-posted 10 days ago

Job description

If you own a cargo van, we have consistent work for you.

Accurate Courier Services contracts with cargo van owners to support healthcare delivery routes across the Kansas City metro. We partner with hospitals, labs, and medical offices that move time-sensitive materials every single day. That means consistent service windows, structured routes, and clients who expect a professional every time.

This isn't random gig work. These are real routes with real accountability, and the compensation reflects that.

Contractors accepting services in this capacity are eligible for minimum guaranteed daily compensation of $150 to $250 per contracted day, with the ability to earn more based on services completed.

About ACS

For 20+ years, Accurate Courier Services has moved critical medical items for healthcare clients across the Midwest. Our Kansas City operation supports hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and medical offices with time-sensitive courier services that keep healthcare running.

What you'll be doing

Contracted services include transporting pharmaceuticals, specimens, medical supplies, instruments, documents, and temperature-sensitive materials using insulated transport equipment. Pickups and deliveries are logged through a secure mobile app that supports chain-of-custody requirements.

Services run days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The work involves driving, walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Vehicle requirement

Cargo van required. Your vehicle must have a minimum of 4 feet of interior cargo height clearance to qualify for these contracted services.

What ACS provides

  • Branded identification for access at client healthcare facilities
  • Insulated coolers and specialty transport containers
  • Delivery equipment required by healthcare clients
  • Access to certifications required for contracted services

Your responsibilities as a contractor

  • Maintain your cargo van in reliable operating condition
  • Carry current driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance
  • Cover your own fuel, maintenance, and business expenses
  • File and pay your own taxes
  • Comply fully with HIPAA and all applicable confidentiality requirements

What we're looking for

  • Cargo van owner, age 21 or older
  • Minimum 3 years personal vehicle driving experience
  • Solid knowledge of Kansas City roadways and metro area
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening as required by healthcare clients
  • Healthcare, lab, or courier experience is a plus, not a requirement

Independent contractor relationship

This is a contract opportunity, not a job. You operate your own business. ACS does not provide employment benefits, and compensation is based on contracted services completed.

Engaging with Accurate Courier Services as an independent contractor does not create an employment relationship. Submitting an application or completing screening steps does not guarantee a contract or future work.
