Job description

Position Summary
As an IMS Regional Sales Director at STERIS, you are responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned region. You will lead the regional sales team to achieve profitability and growth targets in line with company vision and values.
This Director will be managing the California Region for the Instrument Management Services (IMS) division.
What you will do as a Regional Sales Director
  • Increase regional sales revenue and profitability through the direct supervision and management of assigned representatives.
  • Work closely with individual Account Managers and Customers, analyzing Customer needs, and identifying customized solutions.
  • Utilize advanced sales and Customer interaction skills to create and deliver presentations customized to individual Customers of varying levels.
  • Coach and train direct reports on how to effectively understand Customer needs, selling Value Drivers, and resolving Customer needs to obtain business results.
  • Work with Account Manager on developing effective opportunity plans.
  • Manage sales activity and productivity reports for assigned representatives.
  • Assist Vice President of Sales with planning and presentation of regional, divisional and national business meetings.
  • Assist Area Vice President of Sales with preparation of regional business plan and assignment of regional sales quotas.
  • Accountable for unbilled and uncollected revenue within the region.
  • Responsible for hiring and training of new regional team members.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 8 years of successful medical sales experience including a proven track record of achieving sales goals
    • Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
    • Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
    • Industry certifications such as IAHCSMM, AORN, CCSVP, SGNA preferred (or able to obtain in first year of employment)

  • Preferred:
    • 3 years of sales management experience
    • Medical industry or service sales experience

Pay range for this opportunity is $124,737.50 - $161,425.00. This position is incentive plan eligible, at target earnings of $187,105 - $242,137, depending on performance.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
