Job description

Order Entry The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer orders, maintaining detailed records, and supporting order fulfillment operations. This role works closely with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate order processing while providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity located near Arlington Heights, IL. Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enters and processes customer orders into ERP or order management systems, ensuring all details and specifications are correct.
  • Reviews order information, pricing, and customer data to verify accuracy prior to processing and shipment.
  • Monitors order status from entry through delivery and provides timely updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping details, product availability, and account information.
  • Maintains accurate customer records, pricing data, and order history within internal systems.
  • Coordinates with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Identifies and resolves order discrepancies, billing issues, and processing errors in a timely manner.
  • Processes invoices, credits, returns, and related documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in order entry, customer service, or data entry roles.
  • Experience working with ERP or CRM systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
