Job description

LifeWorks of Austin, TX is looking for a Research Analyst to join our Research team! The Research Analyst works with the Research team and agency programs to accomplish our mission by conducting program evaluations and research projects and disseminating key findings to internal and external stakeholders. The position is involved in an array of projects focused on transition-age youth, covering the topics of child welfare, youth homelessness, behavioral health, education/workforce development, and youth voice.

This full time, exempt position earns a competitive rate ranging from $69,136.29-$75, 551.00depending upon experience. Benefits are also included, which consist of 24 PTO days per year (accrued); 11 paid holidays per year; a premium-free employee medical plan with $100 per month HSA contribution (plus other affordable employee or family medical, dental, and vision options!); a retirement savings plan with 50% match on the first 6% of contributions, and much more!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for using advanced analytic techniques (e.g., multilevel modeling, logistic regression, latent class growth analysis, hazard models, propensity score matching, return-on-investment analysis) to analyze agency data and identify programmatic implications.
  • Designs and implements process and outcome evaluations and mission-focused research projects.
  • Oversees the collection of quantitative and qualitative data and manages project timelines and deliverables.
  • Completes literature reviews and writes IRB proposals.
  • Prepares Agency reports and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals on an as-needed basis.
  • Recommends, develops, and delivers staff training related to research and evaluation.
  • Serves as a liaison to external evaluation partners.
  • Maintains a library of all relevant program measurement data that is up-to-date and easily accessed.
  • Completes needs assessments, developing outputs and outcomes, and providing analytic support for the preparation of proposals and reports to funding agencies.
  • Assists with the execution of a variety of high-impact special projects.
  • May present findings at national conferences in order to promote the Agency’s mission and client-centric approach.
  • May supervise undergraduate or graduate interns, as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS      

  • Requires a Master’s in Psychology, Human Development & Family Sciences, Sociology, Social Work, Statistics, or a related field; and 2+ years of experience; or
  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Human Development & Family Sciences, Sociology, Social Work, Statistics, or a related field; and 5+ years of experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in select statistical packages (SAS and/or R).
  • Experience with databases; proficient level experience with Microsoft Office including, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook with intermediate skills in Excel.
