Job Description:
Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist correlates and integrates radiologic aspects of care for all patients age ranging from neonate to geriatrics. Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays. (adjusts equipment; determines proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time distance; arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patients; adjust lead shields; and selects proper detector).
Interacts with radiology management system and participates in other clerical activities to ensure smooth work flow and provide documentation for the patient charge.
Requirements:
Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology and/or a graduate of Radiologic Technology Program (hospital based) recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or completion of educational training required by the ARRT.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active ARRT certification
AHA BLS required
Work Requirements:
