As a Medical Physics Intern, you can expect to assist with quality assurance testing of medical imaging and radiation therapy equipment, perform data analysis, and help maintain compliance with safety regulations. Interns often work closely with experienced medical physicists, technologists, and sometimes physicians to support ongoing clinical and research projects. Depending on the facility, you may also participate in calibration procedures, patient dose calculations, or development of new protocols. These tasks are designed to give you practical, hands-on experience and introduce you to the collaborative, multidisciplinary environment typical in hospital or research settings.
