Job description

Join the Nanook Recreation team as a Part-Time Facility Operations Coordinator & Maintenance Specialist and play an essential role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our campus and community. This position is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day functionality of our recreation facilities by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing fitness equipment, coordinating facility maintenance needs, and overseeing cleaning operations.
As the primary point of contact for facility maintenance and operational concerns, you'll help ensure our recreation center remains a premier destination for health, wellness, and recreation. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining high-quality facilities, and want to make a meaningful impact on the campus community, we'd love to hear from you.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school education and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure or certification may be required that is commensurate with the appropriate level (e.g. First Aid, CPR, AED, Blood-born Pathogen and Lifeguard certification).
Position Details:
This position is located on the Trothy Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a part-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 77, based on education and experience.
