Medical Modeling information

What does a medical modeler do?

A typical workday for Medical Modeling professionals involves collaborating closely with clinicians and researchers to collect, process, and interpret medical imaging data. Tasks often include creating and refining 3D anatomical models, running simulations, validating models against clinical data, and presenting results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You may also participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, troubleshoot complex modeling issues, and integrate new technologies or workflows. The environment is highly collaborative and dynamic, offering opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge medical research and device development.

What skills and qualifications are needed for medical modeling?

Medical Modeling professionals require strong backgrounds in biomedical engineering, anatomy, and advanced computational modeling, typically holding degrees in biomedical engineering, medical physics, or a related field. Expertise in using specialized software like 3D CAD programs, medical imaging platforms (e.g., MRI, CT), and simulation tools, along with relevant certifications, is highly valued. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective interdisciplinary communication are crucial soft skills in this field. These competencies ensure accurate creation of patient-specific models and effective collaboration with clinicians and researchers for improved healthcare outcomes.

What is medical modeling?

A Medical Modeling job involves creating digital or physical models of anatomical structures for medical applications. Specialists in this field use imaging data, such as CT or MRI scans, to develop accurate 3D models used in surgical planning, custom implants, medical research, or education. These models help improve patient outcomes by providing precise visualizations for healthcare professionals. The role often requires expertise in medical imaging software, 3D printing, and biomedical engineering.

Job description

CA&M, Inc. is now hiring Standardized Patients (SPs) in the San Antonio, Texas area. We are looking for men and women to serve as standardized patients the US Army Physician's Assistant Training Program. We are looking for people who have also successfully served, or are interested in working in a live medical simulation environment, working as standardized patient.

Standardized Patients serve a valuable role in the training of future medical professionals. Medical Students participate in live simulations to support their learning and are trained and be tested on those skills. It is important that the Medical Students learn these skills in a safe learning space so they can be comfortable performing these types of examinations when they begin their practice.

Standardized patients support the development of the Medical Students, in a training space, where invasive and non-invasive physicals are conducted, and can provide direct feedback to the medical students with the support and observation of their professors and trainers. Standardized patients must be able to memorize anatomy, communicate in real time while a procedure is being conducted, provide direct feedback, maintain a hygienic & professional appearance, and have a supportive demeanor at all times.

We are looking for males and females SPs between the ages of 21-65, that are in good health, STD free, and are comfortable having an intimate examination (e.g.: breast, hernia, pelvis, prostate) performed on them by Physician Assistant students.

We are looking to hire immediately an event on 06 August 2026, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
