Job description

Salary:

We are seeking aSenior Piping Designer & Modeler that is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed 3D piping models for process, utility, and mechanical systems. This role involves routing piping in accordance with P&IDs, equipment layouts, project specifications, and industry standards, while generating isometric, orthographic, and pipe support drawings from 3D models. The position collaborates closely with piping engineers, stress analysts, equipment engineers, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure accurate model integration, resolve clashes, and incorporate vendor data and field modifications. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of piping design and 3D modeling experience, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in S3D modeling software.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D piping models for process, utility, and mechanical systems.
  • Route piping in accordance with P&IDs, equipment layouts, and design standards.
  • Create and update isometrics, orthographic drawings, and pipe support drawings generated from the 3D model.
  • Ensure proper clash detection and resolve interferences with structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Interpret and apply project specifications, piping material classes, and engineering requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with piping engineers, stress analysts, and equipment engineers to ensure accurate model integration.
  • Incorporate vendor data, equipment models, and field changes into the 3D environment.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other 3D modelers and designers in other firms or locations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience in 3D modeling and pipe designing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in AutoCAD background
  • S3D modeling software experience
