Job description

At Jered LLC, a PAR Systems Company and leader in engineered solutions for naval and maritime systems, Material Handlers play a critical role in ensuring completed products and materials are safely prepared and shipped to our customers and vendors. We are expanding our Shipping team and looking for a dependable, safety-focused professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and supporting the flow of materials throughout our operation.
In this role, you'll support the preparation, packing, crating, labeling, and movement of materials for customer and vendor shipments. You'll work with materials of varying sizes and weights, including shipments requiring cranes and team lifts, while ensuring items are properly prepared and packaged in accordance with MIL-SPEC requirements. Your work directly supports our main projects, growing Aftermarket business, and vendor shipment needs.
Success Criteria:
As a Material Handler, you'll spend most of your time preparing materials for shipment, safely crating and packaging completed products, labeling shipments, and moving materials to support customer and vendor deliveries. The most successful team members bring strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and an understanding of the importance of properly handling and preparing materials for shipment.
You'll work in a manufacturing environment where safety, accuracy, and throughput are key. Challenges include handling large or heavy materials, coordinating two-person lifts, utilizing cranes when required, and ensuring shipments are packed and labeled correctly and in compliance with MIL-SPEC requirements. Success means safely and efficiently moving completed materials through the shipping process, helping clear shop space for upcoming work, and supporting timely shipments for projects, Aftermarket spares, and vendors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to safely handle, move, pack, and crate materials
  • Ability to perform team lifts and work with large or heavy materials
  • Ability to follow shipping, packing, and labeling requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous material handling, shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience
  • Experience packing and crating materials for shipment
  • Experience using cranes or other material handling equipment
  • Experience working with MIL-SPEC packaging or shipping requirements
