Job Description

This is a PRN Position providing support to our Essen Lane location in Baton Rouge, LA.

Scope: The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role ensures accuracy in test results while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and laboratory protocols.

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent.

Specialized Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and equipment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
