Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Generalist Medical Technologist to join our team in a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will perform routine and complex laboratory tests in a variety of areas, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis, while ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of results. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care by providing critical diagnostic support.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in multiple areas including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure the proper handling, preparation, and storage of specimens.
  • Verify test results, interpret findings, and report results to appropriate clinical staff.
  • Participate in laboratory quality control and assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, including CLIA, CAP, and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assist with laboratory inventory management, ordering reagents, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Provide support in laboratory troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation of laboratory procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols in handling hazardous materials and biological specimens.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Certifications:
    • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certifying body is required.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience, preferably in a generalist setting.
    • Experience in multiple laboratory areas (e.g., hematology, microbiology, chemistry, blood bank) is preferred.
