ASCP Medical Lab Technician - FT
MLR is partnering with a respected healthcare facility to fill a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician position. This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, making it an excellent opportunity for dedicated professionals seeking to advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Laboratory Testing: Conduct a variety of tests, from waived to high-complexity, for patients of all ages, including newborns and geriatrics.
  • Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards, addressing any discrepancies in test results or equipment performance.
  • Inventory Oversight: Manage lab supplies to ensure proper storage, handling, and availability.
  • Result Interpretation: Provide insights on test results, methodologies, and data interpretation to support patient care.
  • Charge Tech Role: Serve as "Charge Tech" when needed, overseeing laboratory operations and workflow during assigned shifts.
ASCP Medical Lab Technician - FT Qualifications:
  • Certification in Laboratory Science through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
