Froedtert Health is seeking a travel Medical Lab Scientist for a travel job in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Title:  MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST

Location:  Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

Contract: 10 weeks

Schedule: 7/70 = in a 2 week period - (7) 10 hour shifts in a row, (7) off,  TOTAL = 70 hours in 2 weeks

Requirements:  2 years of MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST experience

-MLT or MLS Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent is required within 1 year of hire. 
-ASCP certification or equivalent is required within 6 months of hire.

Job Summary:
Performs waived, moderate complexity, and high complexity testing on patient specimens. Correlates and interprets data utilizing critical thinking skills and knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments. Involved in teaching and training students, new employees, and residents/medical students. Effectively performs problem resolution, equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and test result data entry. Successfully and timely completes all required competency assessments.
Required Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Medical Laboratory Science (formerly Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology).
  • One of the following certifications is required:
    • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
    • American Medical Technologists (AMT) - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
