Medical Lab Technician
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing laboratory tests that aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Shift: 7:30am - 6:00pm 7/on 7/off
Minimum Qualifications- Certification in good standing as a Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (preferred) or equivalent required.
- Recent graduates with an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology may be considered.
- Must obtain certification within one (1) year of employment
- Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or a related field.
- Experience with advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with electronic laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on various biological specimens.
- Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain laboratory standards.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior lab staff and interns.
