Job description

 Position Summary: Responsible for inventory record accuracy and the daily activity to maintain it, working closely with all departments preventing shortages and optimizing inventory holding levels/inventory turns. Ensuring that all parts, paint, waste are properly labeled and identified as to warehouse location. Pulls, picks and delivers raw/finished materials to the appropriate locations for both Machining and Assembly Shop Orders.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for inventory control. Coordinates orders with Procurement of materials needed to restock storeroom and maintain the appropriate stock inventory levels.
  • Check inventory of Supply parts and order items in low supply at prescribed order points
  • Maintains database, updating records to record supplies and materials received and dispensed
  • Conducts physical inventories on a routine schedule.
  • Verifies inventory records and corrects discrepancies.
  • Will assist the company in maintaining and improving efficiencies.
  • Will assure all inventory Quality requirements are met.
  • Ensures the stockroom is kept clean and orderly
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

 Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate and understand verbal/written instructions in English
  • Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
  • Understand all aspects of material issues and stock movement and the associated transactions required to maintain inventory record accuracy.
  • Develop thorough understanding of bills of materials, shop orders and routings.
  • Develop complete knowledge of products, parts, and parts lists.
  • Ability to route jobs to the next operation, which may not always be clear on the router.
  • Will embrace Mauser Packaging Solutions 5S and Lean/Continuous Improvement ideas and vision

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years' experience in production and inventory control
  • Strong mechanical aptitude abilities preferred
  • Basic understanding of excel, Microsoft office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to traverse the storeroom quickly and efficiently
  • Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanliness

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs
