Job description

Medical Assistant Position

The purpose of this position is to assist the practice and doctors with a wide variety of different clerical, as well as clinical duties.ย  This will be a full-time position and will consist of 40-45 hours per week with working hours starting from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. ย 
Medical Assistant duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Working in the front office and taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls, completing insurance forms, making appointments, assisting in telephone follow-up with the patient as directed, and greeting patients.
  • Scheduling hospital, and laboratory services, and assisting with billing.
  • Updating and maintaining all client records
  • Recording patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
  • Cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to patient appointments for cleanliness of equipment condition.
  • Assisting the office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.ย 
  • Performing duties in a prioritized, organized, and orderly manner to maximize clinic efficiency and productivity.
