Job description

Department: Clinic-PB Patient Fin Service
Shift: Day
Working Hours: M-F 8-5
Summary:
This is a first level position for an Insurance Follow-up/Denial Representative. The representative performs all functions necessary to obtain timely reimbursement or resolve denial issues. The position is responsible for meeting productivity and quality audit standards and must operate as a team player within the department and demonstrate and adhere to Baptist Health's beliefs, mission, and values.
Other information:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  2. Experience in medical billing and collections or ICD-10 and CPT coding or exhibits the capability to learn.
  3. Ability to read and understand billing policies and obtain information from a variety of resources.
  4. Ability to use a computer and various software and navigate websites to accomplish set goals.
  5. Work with a positive attitude with patients, families, coworkers, leadership, payors and other internal and external customers.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
