Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient & Office Areas: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, waiting areas, offices, and hallways.

  • Restroom Cleaning: Clean, sanitize, and restock clinic restrooms with necessary supplies.

  • High-Touch Surfaces: Dust and disinfect chairs, tables, counters, door handles, and medical equipment surfaces.

  • Waste & Biohazard Management: Dispose of regular trash and follow proper procedures for biohazardous materials.

  • Spill Response: Respond promptly to any spills or emergency cleanups in patient and staff areas.

  • Equipment & Supplies: Maintain cleaning equipment, monitor supply levels, and report shortages or malfunctions.

  • Health & Safety: Follow clinic safety procedures, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and comply with OSHA and Bloodborne Pathogens standards (training provided).

  • Special Projects: Assist with deep cleaning or special assignments during off-peak hours.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous cleaning or custodial experience preferred; medical or clinical environment experience is a plus.

  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in patient-facing environments.
