Job description

Aerospace Medicine Functional Expert

This position is located at the 162D Wing in Tucson, Arizona. The primary purpose is to serve as the functional expert for issues pertaining to Aerospace Medicine and Force Health Management programs. Incumbent manages essential programs, which impacts individual medical readiness (IMR) and personnel fitness for continued worldwide deployability.

Duties include:

  • Developing plans, procedures, goals and objectives in support of the Aerospace Medicine and Force Health Management Programs
  • Implementing and maintaining the information management systems utilized for aerospace medicine and force health protection programs
  • Administering the Physical Examinations and Standards (PES) program and serving as a medical expert on related issues
  • Providing technical medical assistance to medical inquiries
  • Monitoring the medical status of military personnel
  • Administering policies and developing procedures for the flight medicine and grounding management programs

Requirements include:

  • Arizona Air National Guard membership is required
  • Must possess a secret security clearance
  • Must possess and maintain a current state driver's license

Qualifications include:

  • Military Grades: SRA/E-4 to MSgt/E-7
  • AFSC: 4A0X1
  • Specialized experience: Must possess at least 1 year equivalent to the next lower grade level experience
  • Education: You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims
