Job description

Helical Pile Solutions (HPS)  is seeking a Heavy Haul Driver to join their team. You must have good safety awareness, good communication & competent decision-making skills, and a desire to perform requested duties with a focus on safety and appropriate precautions. HPS offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefit package.

 Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure a high level of safety
  • Ensure a daily JHA, attend all safety meetings and daily tailboard meetings
  • Perform equipment walk-around inspections
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems, field repair minor fixes and communicate major issues with mechanics
  • Maintain a clean drivers abstract
  • Working for upwards of 21 days away from home
  • Work overtime daily
  • Adaptable to changing shifts and conditions

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • Clean drivers abstract - Minimum 5 years
  • Minimum 5 years Experience
  • Drive safely and in compliance with all company regulations
  • Familiarity with E-logs (pre-trip, post-trip)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to follow safe working procedures
  • Must have low bed truck experience
  • Must have winch truck experience
  • Must have heavy haul experience
  • Must be able to load and unload equipment with little or no supervision on site
  • Maintain a professional attitude
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with mountainous terrain and rough ROW access
