Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at our Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. Join us in providing exceptional care to the men and women who have served our country.

Position Details:

    Location: Lackalnd AFB in San Antonio, TX

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30pm

  • Type of Role: On-site Outpatient setting- Direct Patient Care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.

  • Outpatient setting

  • 6 to 8 direct patient care hours per day

  • Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services
  • Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy.
  • The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia and other high-risk diagnoses

Qualifications:

  1. Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

  2. Unrestricted State Medical License: Valid and in good standing in any U.S. state.

  3. DEA Certification: Current and unrestricted DEA license.

  4. BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross

  5. Experience: Must have a minumum of 24 months of experience within the last 36 months as a board certified Psychiatrist.
  6. Commitment to Excellence: Strong dedication to serving the veteran population with compassion and professionalism.
