Education

Graduate of an approved Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technician program or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certification: BLS

Experience

  • 1-year cardiology experience
  • 1 year pacemaker experience preferred

  • Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by adhering to federal and state laws, regulations, and corporate policies related to job functions, and reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Assess and reassess adult and geriatric patients with implanted cardiac devices.
  • Provides comprehensive follow-up care for patients with implanted cardiac devices.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare providers to adjust the plan of care as needed.
  • Assists in maintaining a current database for device clinic patients.
  • Knowledge and understanding of proper billing and reimbursement as it applies to implanted cardiac devices.
  • Assists in device clinic scheduling and triages patient phone calls.
  • Performs additional device testing and documentation as needed for A-V and V-V echo optimizations and clinical trials.
  • Competently provides patient teaching and resources (e.g., support groups, health fairs), and performs other office duties as assigned.
