Description
Endoscopy Reprocessing Technician
Join our amazing team! Prior experience as a surgical instrument tech or central sterile processing tech preferred, not required.
No weekends, No holidays, No call.
Hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm.
Job Description:
  • Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Endoscopy Unit.
  • Responsible for cleaning, reprocessing and maintaining endoscopes, instruments, and the automated scope washing systems.
  • Adheres to proper reprocessing/ disinfecting protocols and performs routine equipment maintenance.
  • Assembles procedure equipment to include scopes and physician preferences.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • BLS Certification (Required within 90 days of hire)
  • Will train the right candidate.

Required Experience/Skills:
  • Prior experience as a Surgical Instrument technician or Central Sterile Technician is preferred, not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to exercise good judgment and communication skills.
  • Dedication and adherence to infection control policies.
  • Multitasker in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to work independently and work well in teams.
  • Team player with an excellent work ethic.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting equipment, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing at least 8 straight hours, repetitive motions, ability to raise arms above the head to hang scopes, and frequent walking.
  • Requires working under fast-paced conditions.
  • Requires the ability to work safely in a patient care environment and follow OSHA and safety requirements.
  • Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
