Job description

Endoscope Reprocessing Technician โ€“ Endoscopy Center
Holly Springs, NC | In-Office

Support patient safety through infection prevention and procedural excellence.

Raleigh Medical Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Endoscope Reprocessing Technician to support our Gastroenterology team. This role is responsible for the cleaning, high-level disinfection, testing, maintenance, and documentation of endoscopic equipment while supporting efficient day-to-day procedural operations within the endoscopy center.

The Endoscope Reprocessing Technician plays a critical role in maintaining patient safety, infection prevention standards, and procedural readiness in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Performs decontamination, high-level disinfection, testing, and maintenance of endoscopes and related equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and infection prevention standards.ย 
  • Maintains accurate scope logs, sterilization records, and quality control documentation.ย 
  • Prepares and organizes endoscopic equipment and procedure rooms for daily operations and scheduled procedures.ย 
  • Performs room turnover and cleans procedure areas and equipment between patients.ย 
  • Monitors and restocks clinical supplies and communicates inventory needs appropriately.ย 
  • Identifies equipment concerns and reports maintenance or repair needs.ย 
  • Participates in quality assurance, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance activities.ย 
  • Assists clinical staff with procedural support activities as needed.ย 
  • Responds appropriately during emergency situations and follows established safety procedures.ย 
  • Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, safety, and confidentiality policies.ย 
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.ย 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum one year of healthcare, sterile processing, endoscopy, or related experience preferred
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

  • Previous endoscopy reprocessing or sterile processing experience preferred.ย 
  • Knowledge of high-level disinfectionย and infection prevention standards preferred.
  • Gastroenterology or procedural experience preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reachingย 
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularlyย 
  • Ability to assist with heavier transfers as needed
  • Fine motor skills and visual acuity required
