Job description

Cardiovascular Technologist

Assists the Cardiologist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab such as angioplasty with stenting and related procedures. Monitors radiation safety for physicians, patients, and staff. Interprets hemodynamic data, patient lab data, cardiac arrhythmias, and ECG interpretation while recording a procedure to assure quality patient care. Assists Electrophysiologist with related procedures. Applies critical thinking skills in difficult or challenging cases. Leads and mentors the CVS Technician.

Education:

  • Essential: Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology Program
  • Education specialization:
    • Essential: Cardiovascular Technology

Experience:

  • Essential: One Year related experience

Credentials:

  • Essential: ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
  • RCIS - Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Registered)
  • BLS - American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS - American Red Cross or American Heart Association
