Location: Lewisville, TX

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Technician I: $21.00 - $23.00 / hour

About the Role
Are you a meticulous quality professional with a sharp eye for detail? We are seeking a skilled QC Inspector to join our growing medical manufacturing team in Lewisville, TX. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our life-saving medical devices meet strict quality and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate has proven experience with precision measurement tools, reading blueprints down to a thousandth of an inch, and working comfortably within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection & Testing: Perform receiving inspection on incoming materials, as well as in-process and final inspections of subassemblies and finished products.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Read, comprehend, and follow strict inspection procedures, drawings, sampling plans, and workmanship standards in adherence with FDA/ISO requirements.
  • Equipment Utilization: Masterfully use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and electronic test equipment.
  • Data & System Management: Maintain inspection records, process nonconforming material via Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and accurately perform Oracle ERP transactions (accepting/delivering product, generating BOMs, etc.).
  • Technical Writing: Write general inspection procedures, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Discrepancy Reports (DRs).
  • Leadership & Support (Level II): Train Inspector I personnel, resolve minor shop floor issues in the absence of the supervisor, and provide continuous improvement feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Precision Measurement: Proven experience with dimensional measuring (calipers, micrometers, gauges) down to a thousandth of an inch.
  • Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read, interpret, and work directly from technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliability: Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly required to bend, reach, stand, walk, and sit daily. Frequently lift, carry, and move objects overhead weighing up to 40 lbs. Eyesight must be correctable to a level required to detect fine cosmetic and workmanship defects.

Preferred Skills (A Plus!)
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Prior experience in an FDA-regulated or ISO 13485 medical device environment.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Oracle ERP software.
