About Us

Nuwellis is a Minnesota-based medical device company dedicated to improving patients' lives through innovative fluid management solutions. Our clinical and sales teams partner with hospitals and clinics nationwide to expand the adoption of Aquadex SmartFlow therapy.


We are looking for a Account Manager with experience in Capital Equipment Medical Device Sales to drive growth in the assigned territory.   This role is ideal for someone who knows how to introduce a differentiated technology, develop physician champions and help hospitals rethink established clinical practices. 


This opportunity is specifically for candidates located in/near Columbus, Ohio with the ability to commute to additional parts of the territory includes: all of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. 


 What You'll Do 

  •  Build and execute a territory plan focused on opening new hospital accounts and expanding utilization within existing accounts. 
  •  Introduce a differentiated therapy that requires clinical education, behavior change and strong physician advocacy. 
  • Navigate complex capital equipment sales involving physicians, clinical leaders, administration, procurement and value analysis. 
  •  Develop physician champions and communicate the clinical and economic value of Aquadex therapy. 
  • Lead product demonstrations, business reviews and proposals while managing opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  •  Partner with Clinical Education Specialists to support account launches, customer education and continued utilization growth. 

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (business, life sciences or related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device sales, medical device market development; preferably with cardiology, cardiac surgery and/or structural heart and/or ventricular assist device (VAD), nephrology or another clinically complex specialty is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success selling capital equipment in hospitals or similarly complex healthcare environments. 
  •  Experience introducing a disruptive or differentiated technology that required customers to change an established practice or treatment approach. 
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

  • The Account Manager is expected to maintain regular physical presence at customer sites.
  • 50-70% travel required within the assigned territory. Travel involves regular daily driving commutes to and from customer sites as well as occasional domestic air travel and some overnights.


Compensation & Benefits


We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • $100,000 base salary + UNCAPPED commission
  • Quarterly commission payouts
  • Car allowance
