Mid-sized workers’ compensation law firm located in Alpharetta, GA seeking a talented legal assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing priorities. This position is full-time, in-office, choose from 3 schedules and work 37.5 hours a week in a casual work environment. Experience in workers’ comp or legal industry preferred but not necessary


Company Description Cuzdey, Stine & Sansalone, LLC is a law firm focused primarily on insurance defense, handling General Liability and Workers’ Compensation matters. The firm’s departments are staffed by attorneys whose practices are dedicated to their specific areas of expertise. With more than half a century of collective experience, the team combines seasoned insight with the energy and drive of emerging legal talent. The firm represents insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers across the Southeast, providing consistent and knowledgeable defense services.


Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant role based in Alpharetta, GA. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys handling insurance defense matters by preparing and formatting legal documents, maintaining case files, and organizing case-related information. Daily responsibilities include managing calendars, scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings, and coordinating with courts, clients, and opposing counsel. The role involves assisting with discovery responses, drafting routine correspondence, and filing documents electronically and in hard copy as needed. The Legal Assistant will also handle general administrative tasks such as answering phones, processing mail, and supporting the efficient operation of the practice.


Job Duties:

· Complete administrative duties such as making copies, answering and directing phone calls and greeting clients.

· Prepare legal documents and State Board filings related to Insurance Defense, Workers’ Compensation cases from beginning of case through settlement.

· Maintain calendar and contacts for attorneys; scheduling appointments, conferences, and depositions including scheduling Court Reporter.

· Requesting discovery; medical records from doctors’ offices, hospitals, and physical therapists.

· Preparing, typing, editing and proofreading legal documents, including Briefs, Motions, memorandums, status reports, and evaluations.

· Initiate and maintain contact with clients, opposing counsel and Judge’s office.

· Contact State Board Judge’s office regarding Hearings and Mediations

· Formats and proofreads dictations received back from Cyber and returns to attorney same day

· Finalize letters/correspondence by obtaining signatures from Partners

· Create and format final Stipulation and Settlement Agreement documents to be sent to opposing counsel or pro-se claimants to finalize claims

· Send letters/correspondence to adjusters, opposing counsel, etc. via email.

· Send letters/correspondence to adjusters, opposing counsel, etc. via Fed Ex/UPS

· Utilizes ICMS II platform to file Briefs, Motions and Stipulation Agreements

· Open new files.
