Job description

About the Company
General Robotics is a physical AI research and deployment company building the platform to make robot intelligence accessible, fast to deploy and continuously evolving. Be part of the team advancing the frontier of robotics and turning breakthrough ideas into reality.
The Role
You'll lead content creation and social at General Robotics, extending our existing creative direction, voice, and brand identity across every asset and every channel. You'll sit on the marketing team and collaborate closely with engineering, research, and sales to turn what we're building into stories worth watching and assets worth using. It's a hands-on role: you'll own ideation and creation of all video and graphic assets, manage our social presence, and keep the brand current with the latest trends in the space.
Responsibilities
We're looking for someone who's equal parts strategist and creator, able to distill complex stories into simple, break through assets. The core of the role is leading content strategy and execution across our marketing, sales, and social channels.
  • Own production of product demo videos end to end - narrative arc, storyboard, shooting, and editing, starting from a real understanding of what engineering and research have built.
  • Own how we show up on X, LinkedIn and other channels. Build for each platform (rather than cross-posting) spanning video and graphics including carousels, diagrams, stills, and benchmark charts.
  • Create the assets that win customers including sales decks, brochures, one-pagers, and event and campaign creative - evolving them based on customer insights.
  • Advance the website and written content (blogs, newsletters, social copy) in step with product milestones, product narrative and marketing moments.
  • Build AI workflows for asset creation, using generative tooling to speed ideation, variants, and output. Keep the content repository current and make sure the team actually uses it.

Bonus: Experience in robotics, deep tech, or a software startup.
How You'll Work
You'll sit in marketing, but the job depends on being close to the rest of the company - and on building a content function that scales without losing the speed that makes us competitive.
  • Learn directly from engineering and research what's being built and the unique challenge we are solving, then translate it into clear, customer-ready narratives.
  • Stay close to sales and customer conversations; using what you learn to shape what you make next.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the brand as the product evolves.
  • Operate with high ownership in a fast-moving environment, moving between planning, creating, editing, and optimizing.
  • Identify gaps and build the systems, workflows, and documentation that mature the marketing function.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years shooting, editing, and storyboarding video (professional cameras or iPhone) and post-production and light animation work in Premiere Pro.
  • Graphic design skills in Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud. After Effects a plus.
  • Managed social media accounts in the tech space.
  • Strong editorial instincts and narrative thinking.
  • Ability to quickly absorb complex engineering concepts and translate them for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating across product, engineering, and sales; ability to influence without authority.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the greater Seattle area.
Who This Is For
You should apply if:
  • You're equally strong behind a camera, in an edit timeline, and in a design file.
  • You have a considered point of view on what earns attention on X and LinkedIn.
  • You're motivated to build the systems and automated workflows that let a small team produce at scale.
  • You're genuinely interested in technology and comfortable learning directly from engineers.
  • You work quickly and improve as you go.

Why Join Us
  • Work at the frontier of physical AI and robotics.
  • High-impact role with executive visibility and professional growth opportunity.
  • Fast-moving, innovative startup environment with the opportunity to shape the ecosystem, not just participate in it.

Base Salary Range
The anticipated base salary for this position is $110k - $140k. Your actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, experience, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for benefits including medical, 401K and other health benefits.
Work Authorization
  • This role is open to candidates currently based in and authorized to work in the US.
  • Equal Opportunity Employer - General Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of any status protected by applicable law.
  • Accommodations - If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, please contact: hr@generalrobotics.company
