The Coding Quality Coach is responsible for performing medical coding quality audit assignments and addressing agency-specific quality concerns. The scope of this job involves providing service to clients and the international and US-based coding and audit teams by providing appropriate feedback and guidance on audited records and agency requested revisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform coding quality audits following coding quality policies and procedures, including Medicare, CMS or pay program guidelines, and ensure compliance with appropriate coding practices, regulatory standards, and contractual requirements.

  • Complete audits as determined by quality team's daily prioritization and support improved performance of coders in all service lines.

  • Analyze quality of coder reviews and provide feedback to quality management team regarding concerns.

  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure awareness of coding team performance against key metrics compared to internal coding quality standards.

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 0-2 years of relevant work experience

  • Coding Certified (HCS-D or BCHH-C)
