If you are an experienced Non-Destructive Examination Professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Manufacturer of large custom-designed control valves, you will work in a dynamic and high-tech production facility based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual inspections on in-process material.
  • Assure manufactured products meet established quality requirements through proper application of non-destructive examination methods.
  • Facilitate joint action with operations, supplier, and customer resources to assure conformance to requirements is maintained.
  • Serve as a resource for application and interpretation of the Emerson Non-Destructive Examination program.  This includes:
  •   a.  Maintenance of all NDE training, methods, certification, and compliance records as   required.
  •   b.  Ensuring compliance of the Emerson NDE program with applicable codes and standards.
  • Maintain orderly, safe, and efficient operation of the Marshalltown NDE facility and equipment.
  • Assist in making equipment and process decisions to support long-term business goals.
  • Support internal process/quality audits and external supplier audits.
  • Coordinate and connect with all levels of the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) in Non-Destructive Testing, Non-Destructive Testing Technology Diploma or Certificate, or in the absence of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Recent experience performing magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, radiographic, or visual inspections.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position. 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • ASNT and AWS Qualifications. 
  • Experience performing magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, radiographic, or visual inspections.
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience in manufacturing or quality.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ISO 9000).
  • Strong aptitude for learning new processes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills required with ability to work as a team member.
  • Aggressive self-starter with strong attention to detail.
