) Maintenance Assistant
The Medical Suites at Oak Creek is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and helping create a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will help maintain the building, equipment, and grounds while ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained healthcare environment. This position works closely with other departments to support daily operations and provide excellent service to our residents.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs and routine building repairs.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Inspect equipment, systems, and facility areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least one year of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local building codes is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
