Laredo Animal Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a Multi-Doctor team!

With over 35 years of service to the community, we are a full-service small animal GP offering surgeries, diagnostics, in-house testing, walk-in urgent care/ER, and more in a well-equipped facility. Our experienced team provides consistent patient flow and hours, with mentorship available for new grads and those looking to enhance their skills.

Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, the Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a Managing Doctor and supports the medical staff. This individual advances the quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional client service to our clients and patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with clients by listening to their concerns.
  • Perform high-quality examinations and procedures while minimizing patient stress.
  • Communicate with clients about pet diagnosis, treatment plans, and health care.
  • Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and logs.
  • Stay updated on new veterinary information and practices.
  • Assist in developing the paraprofessional team for quality care and service.
  • Promote a positive image of the hospital to the community.

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
  • DVM Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics
