Job description

Job Summary:
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure that all systems are installed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, connect, and modify HVAC systems and components according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
  • Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
  • Test systems for leaks, ensuring proper operation by adjusting and calibrating controls and components.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults and provide solutions for HVAC systems.
  • Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients to explain system functions and maintenance requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship in HVAC preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC installer or technician in a construction environment.
  • Valid HVAC license and/or certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.
