Security Officer Medical Center

As a Security Officer Medical Center in Newport, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal's caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture.

Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime

Mon 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, access concerns, and emergency notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
