Role Description The Medical Biller is a full-time, on-site role based in Warwick, RI. This role is responsible for accurately entering patient charges, preparing and submitting insurance claims, and following up on unpaid or denied claims. Day-to-day tasks include verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring proper use of billing codes, posting payments, reconciling accounts, and communicating with insurers and internal staff regarding claim status. The Medical Biller will monitor aging reports, initiate appeals for denials, and help maintain compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining organized billing records, protecting patient confidentiality, and supporting the practice’s financial workflows.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology to interpret clinical documentation and support accurate charge entry.
  • Experience working with Denials, including reviewing explanations of benefits, identifying root causes, and initiating appeals or corrections.
