We aim to provide top-tier primary care across various settings including clinics, hospitals, and specialized facilities. Based in Sugar Land and extending our services throughout the Greater Houston area, we are committed to employing advanced EHR systems and interactive tools such as eClinicalWorks and Healow to enhance patient care and outcome measures.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Medical Biller/Coder to join our administrative team. This position requires a professional who is well-versed in both front-end and back-end billing operations, applicable in outpatient or multi-site healthcare environments. The role involves close collaboration with healthcare providers, the practice management team, and external consultants to facilitate smooth and effective billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate claims submission as well as optimized revenue cycles.

This is an on-site position ONLY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly review, code, and process medical encounters adhering to ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
  • Prepare and submit both electronic and paper claims via clearinghouses.
  • Efficiently manage all aspects of claim rejections, denials, and the submission of appeals.
  • Carry out reconciliations of payments, post Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and diligently track outstanding balances.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits as necessary.
  • Maintain robust and clear communication with patients concerning billing inquiries and statement clarifications.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant HIPAA guidelines and payer-specific billing regulations and policies.
  • Generate and submit detailed financial and productivity reports as per management requests.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in medical billing and coding, with a preference for expertise in primary care, internal medicine, or geriatrics.
  • Proficient in the utilization of EHR systems: eClinicalWorks (eCW).
  • Professional coding certification (e.g., CPC, CPB) is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows, including claim submission processes and payer follow-ups.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Must be capable of both independent and collaborative work, aligning with team goals and company policies.
