Lowcountry Therapy Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pediatric Therapy Medical Biller to join our growing team. We are looking for someone with strong experience in South Carolina medical billing, including extensive knowledge of South Carolina Medicaid, TRICARE, and commercial insurance billing, preferably with hands-on experience using ClinicSource.
This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who understands the unique aspects of billing for pediatric outpatient Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy services and is passionate about helping practices run efficiently so clinicians can focus on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Submit and manage insurance claims for Speech, OT, and PT servicesÂ
- Post payments and reconcile accountsÂ
- Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claimsÂ
- Manage authorizations and track visit limitsÂ
- Work directly with Medicaid, TRICARE, and commercial insurance providers regarding claim statusÂ
- Ensure accurate billing compliance with South Carolina Medicaid requirementsÂ
- Collaborate with therapists and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation and timely claim submissionÂ
- Maintain accurate patient billing records in ClinicSourceÂ
- Stay current on payer guidelines, insurance updates, and HIPAA complianceÂ

Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience requiredÂ
- Pediatric therapy billing experience strongly preferredÂ
- Strong knowledge of South Carolina Medicaid, TRICARE, and commercial insurance billing requirementsÂ
- Experience billing for Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Physical Therapy servicesÂ
- Experience with ClinicSource preferredÂ
- Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 coding, modifiers, and authorization processesÂ
- Experience handling claim denials, appeals, and insurance follow-upÂ
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasksÂ
